What are Behavioral Interviews?
Behavior-based interviewing is a structured hiring technique that focuses on the premise that past behavior predicts future performance. Candidates provide specific, detailed examples of how they handled past work situations, rather than theoretical, hypothetical answers, to demonstrate competencies like leadership, conflict resolution, and adaptability.

Resources for Behavioral Interviews
- All individuals who participate in the hiring process are required to be interview-trained. This training empowers selection committees with the tools needed to successfully conduct a legally compliant interview and minimize bias during the selection process. They will learn about behavioral style interviews and our scoring system. This training needs to be signed up for in GLADIS and will need to be up to date every two years.
